You know who pays us.
If you are not sure who is paying us on a property you are looking at, ask. We will tell you before you commit to anything.
Conflict of Interest Policy
We earn when a property sells, and on some sales we are paid by both sides. This page sets out how we are paid and the rules we keep because of it.
§ 01 Money
Someone who refers you to us may be paid a commission by us when you buy, sell or take a service. Their recommendation is not independent of us.
When a partner carries out a service you booked through us (a lawyer, an architect, a contractor), we may earn a fee from that work. We tell you so before you book.
§ 02 The pull
§ 03 What we do about it
If you are not sure who is paying us on a property you are looking at, ask. We will tell you before you commit to anything.
A property we are selling is checked for ownership, encumbrance, land classification and approvals the same way as any other. The buyer gets every finding, including one that ends the sale.
We show you projects that match what you asked for. What a builder pays us does not decide which projects you see.
When both sides pay us, we put each side's offer and the facts to the other, and each side decides. We do not coach one side to get the better of the other.
Nobody on our staff works on a property that they or their family own, are buying or are selling.
§ 04 Kept apart
LandLens is run separately from our sales work. It is paid for its reports and tools, and earns nothing when a property sells. It reads the government records the same way for every property, whether or not we are selling it.
§ 05 Accountability
If you think we have broken any of these rules, write to us. Your identity stays confidential.
