Approvals at a location

Drop a pin and see every planning approval recorded on that land and on the parcels abutting it: layout approvals, building permits, completion certificates and RERA registrations, from our consolidated permit index.

4 credits per run

Charged only when a record comes back. You approve every run first, and nothing found means nothing charged.

What we need

One thing at a time. Fill it in and press Run.

Drop a pin on the plot itself, paste a Google Maps link, or use your location.

No pin yet. Tap the land, paste a link, or use your location.

You will see the price and your balance before it runs.

The answer

From the register, with its date and source.

Nothing run yet. The answer appears here with everything this mini adds:

  • No survey number needed: the pin becomes a parcel, and the parcel is what gets searched
  • Approvals on the parcels that abut yours, which a survey number on its own can never reach, marked as next door and never counted as yours
  • The district is fixed by where the pin fell, so a bare survey number cannot pull in a match from the other end of the state

How this works

What it reads, what it needs, and how to read the answer.

What it does

No government portal lets you point at a piece of land and ask what has been approved on it. This one resolves your pin to its surveyed parcel on the state cadastral layer, then reads our consolidated index of CMDA, DTCP, panchayat and RERA records for that parcel and for the parcels touching it.

What you give it

A pin on the plot itself. Accuracy matters: a pin on the road or on the neighbour reads the neighbour.

  • Approvals on the parcels that abut yours, which a survey number on its own can never reach, marked as next door and never counted as yours

What it costs
4 credits per run

Charged only when the record comes back. You see your balance before you approve, and a run that finds nothing costs nothing.

How to read the result

The parcel the pin landed on is named first, so you can tell whether the right land was searched. Exact means the register wrote that survey number, parent means another sub-division of it, and adjoining means a neighbouring parcel, which is a lead and not a permission for your land. Refusals and disputes are marked and never read as approvals.

Where the data comes from

The state cadastral parcel layer to place the pin, then our consolidated planning permit index built from the CMDA registers, the statewide DTCP and panchayat approvals, and the RERA project register.

Questions people ask

Short answers, no jargon.

Why does it show approvals on other parcels?

A layout routinely spans several survey numbers, so the permission covering your plot is often recorded on the one next door. Those records are listed separately and labelled as adjoining, because a permission granted for a neighbouring plot is not a permission for yours.

Does an empty result mean the land has no approval?

No. It means nothing in the registers we hold names that parcel. The answer lists what was searched and the years each register covers. Our coverage begins in 2006 for the Chennai region and in 2022 to 2023 for the panchayat registers, so older land reads empty for reasons that say nothing about the title.

It could not find a parcel at my pin.

The pin may have fallen on a road, a water body or unsurveyed ground, or the cadastral layer may not cover it. Move the pin a few metres inside the plot, or search by survey number instead. A pin that resolves to no parcel is not charged.

What does it cost?

Four credits, and only when a record comes back. Nothing found is not charged.
