District, taluk and village directory
Walk the revenue directory and collect the codes every land record needs: the taluks of a district, the villages of a taluk, and inside a town its wards and blocks, each with the name as the register writes it.
What we need
One thing at a time. Fill it in and press Run.
The answer
From the register, with its date and source.
Nothing run yet. The answer appears here with everything this mini adds:
- The code beside every name, ready for a record lookup
- Names exactly as the register writes them, spelling variants and all
- Wards and blocks for town survey land, which no other list gives
How this works
What it reads, what it needs, and how to read the answer.
Every land record lookup is keyed by district, taluk and village codes. This is the catalogue those codes come from, one level at a time.
Nothing to start: leave the codes blank for the district list and work down.

Run it as often as you need. Nothing is deducted.
Each row is a code and the name the register prints for it. Carry the codes into the land record, subdivision or encumbrance minis.

Questions people ask
Short answers, no jargon.
I know the village name already.
Then you do not need this: the survey pickers resolve a name straight to its codes. This is for when a name is spelled differently in the register, or several places share it.
Why are there two registers?
Rural land is held in revenue villages, town land in town survey wards and blocks. They are different lists with different codes.
Is this free?
Yes.
