Subdivisions of a survey

Every subdivision the register holds under a survey number, so you know whether 178 is one plot or thirty, and whether 178/1C exists at all.

What we need

One thing at a time. Fill it in and press Run.

Pick the village or town and the parent survey number. Add a sub-division to confirm that one exists.

You will see the price and your balance before it runs.

The answer

From the register, with its date and source.

Nothing run yet. The answer appears here with everything this mini adds:

  • Both the live survey register and our offline copy are read, so a portal outage does not blank the answer
  • A specific sub-division you name is confirmed or denied explicitly
  • The parcel is mapped when the register locates it

How this works

What it reads, what it needs, and how to read the answer.

What it does

A survey number is often a parent divided into subdivisions, each a separate parcel with its own owner. A deed quoting the bare parent, or a sub-division that has since been re-divided, is a common source of trouble. This mini lists what the register holds today.

What you give it

The district, taluk and village or town, and the parent survey number. Add a sub-division to have it confirmed.

What it costs
1 credit per run

Charged only when the record comes back. You see your balance before you approve, and a run that finds nothing costs nothing.

How to read the result

The list is the subdivisions as the register writes them. A survey with no split is reported as a single undivided holding. When you named a sub-division, the answer says plainly whether it exists.

Where the data comes from

The survey department's subdivision register, read live, with our offline copy as a fallback.

Questions people ask

Short answers, no jargon.

My deed says 20/1A but the register lists 1A1A1 and 1A1A2. Why?

The sub-division was re-divided after the deed was written. The current subdivisions are the parcels that exist today; the deed's reference maps onto one or more of them.

What if the list is empty?

Then the register holds the survey as a single undivided holding, or as one subdivision only, which reads the same way. The mini says so rather than reporting a count of zero.

Is this charged when nothing is found?

No. A survey the register does not hold is not charged.
