The Field Measurement Book is the survey department's measured sketch of every survey number, with its sides, bearings and neighbours. It is what a surveyor uses to mark a boundary on the ground. This mini fetches the sketch for the survey you give.

Charged only when the record comes back. You see your balance before you approve, and a run that finds nothing costs nothing.
The sketch opens as a PDF exactly as the department issues it. The map beside it shows where the parcel sits in the cadastral layer. Some surveys, especially recently subdivided ones, have no sketch online yet.

What is an FMB sketch used for?
To mark the boundary of a survey on the ground, settle a dispute with a neighbour, or check that a fence or a deed schedule matches the measured plot.
Why is there no sketch for my survey?
Sketches for some surveys, often ones subdivided recently, have not been digitised. The mini reports that honestly and does not charge for the miss.
Does this work for town surveys?
Yes. For a town survey the ward and block are derived from the register and the town sketch service is used.
