The answer
From the register, with its date and source.
Nothing run yet. The answer appears here with everything this mini adds:
- Every sub-division outline of the village, read until the count the source reports is held, never a partial map
- A find box that rings any survey number and zooms to it
- The count of survey numbers and outlines, so a split village reads as what it is
The village map, briefly
A map of every survey number in a revenue village, drawn from the Field Measurement Book boundaries the survey department holds. It shows where a survey sits and which numbers surround it.
- Drawn from
- The FMB layer
The state cadastral boundary layer, one outline per survey sub-division, read in full for the village you pick.
- Never partial
- Count checked
The outlines are read until the number the source reports is reached. A short read is refused, not drawn.
- Covers
- Village land
Revenue villages. Town survey land is kept by ward and block, so towns have no village map.

When it helps with land
Where is my survey?
A patta gives a number, not a place. The map shows where that number sits in the village.
Who are the neighbours?
The surveys around a plot are the ones its boundaries and the deed schedule name.
Before a site visit
See the shape of the land on satellite imagery before you go, and which road reaches it.
The outlines are the state's cadastral drawing and can sit a few metres off the satellite image. For measurements, the FMB sketch of the survey is the document; for who holds it, the land record.
Questions people ask
How do I see the FMB village map with survey numbers?
Pick the district, taluk and village and press Run. Every survey outline of the village is drawn on a satellite map. Tap an outline for its survey number, or type a number in the find box to ring it.
Is this the same as the FMB sketch?
No. The FMB sketch is one survey with its measured sides. The village map is every survey of the village together, so you can see where one sits. Use both.
Why is my survey number not on the map?
The map draws the parcels the state cadastral layer holds. A survey that was resurveyed and renumbered, held only under its sub-divisions, or in a town (kept by ward and block) can be missing. Check the number on the patta.
Can I download the village map as a PDF?
Not from this mini. The map is drawn live from the outlines; the FMB sketch mini gives the official PDF of a single survey.
Does it work for towns?
No. Town survey land is recorded by ward and block, not by village, so there is no village map for a town.
Is it free?
Yes. A LandLens login is needed to run it.
