Road width at a plot

The width of the road or roads a plot fronts, measured from the cadastral map at the frontage, with the frontage length and whether the plot is a corner.

2 credits per run

Charged only when a record comes back. You approve every run first, and nothing found means nothing charged.

What we need

One thing at a time. Fill it in and press Run.

Drop a pin, paste a Google Maps link, or use your location.

No pin yet. Tap the land, paste a link, or use your location.

You will see the price and your balance before it runs.

The answer

From the register, with its date and source.

Nothing run yet. The answer appears here with everything this mini adds:

  • Measured at both ends of the frontage, so a tapering road is caught
  • Every road parcel the plot touches, with its recorded owner
  • The frontage length, which the setback and FSI rules also need

How this works

What it reads, what it needs, and how to read the answer.

What it does

Road width is the gate for what can be built: the building rules set the floor space index and the building type by the width of the abutting road. This mini measures it on the cadastral map rather than taking anyone's word for it.

What you give it

A pin on the map.

What it costs
2 credits per run

Charged only when the record comes back. You see your balance before you approve, and a run that finds nothing costs nothing.

How to read the result

Each road the plot touches with its typical width and the width at the start and end of the frontage. A corner plot shows more than one road. Road parcels the map holds without a measurable width are listed separately.

Where the data comes from

The state cadastral boundary layer, with road parcels identified from the revenue register.

Questions people ask

Short answers, no jargon.

Why does the width differ at the two ends?

Roads taper and encroachments narrow them; the answer shows both ends so the narrower figure can be used where the rules require it.

Is this the same as the width on the approved plan?

It is the width the cadastral map records today. The building rules apply to the road as it exists, which is what this measures.

Why two credits?

The parcel, the road parcels and the geometry are all fetched and measured for the run.
