Required drawing practices

The Basic Instructions for PreDCR Drawings requires users to:

• Draw residential, commercial and industrial FSI areas on the _ResiFSI, _CommFSI and _IndFSI layers respectively.
• Use the _SpecUseFSI layer for FSI areas used for institutions or religious buildings.
• Insert parking stalls, direction reference circles, doors and windows through the specified PreDCR tools.
• Provide the site plan, detailed floor plans and building sections in metric scale and in one drawing file.

Scale, parking and area details

All details must use metric scale. Covered parking must appear within the parking floor plan, while open-space parking must be drawn at the plot in the site plan. Parking must not be drawn inside an FSI polygon, and no FSI should be drawn at a basement used only for parking.

Each tenement must have its own _DwellingBUA area and sequential text. A duplex must not be given different _DwellingBUA polygon names. Typical floors should be marked as typical so the software does not read the same entities repeatedly.

Practices to avoid

The Basic Instructions for PreDCR Drawings says users must not:

• Use non-metric descriptions such as mt. or feet and inches.
• Use lines, circles, regions or splines.
• place dimensions on a PreDCR layer.
• Show _OtherDetail inside the plot polygon.
