Land rate converter

A price per one land unit expressed as a price per another: rupees per square foot into rupees per cent, ground, acre or square metre, on the same factors the extent converter uses.

Free to run. Sign in once and use it as often as you need.

What we need

One thing at a time. Fill it in and press Run.

The rate you have, in rupees per unit.

Leave it at every unit for the whole table.

No credits are used.

The answer

From the register, with its date and source.

Nothing run yet. The answer appears here with everything this mini adds:

  • A rate converts the opposite way to an extent, which is where hand arithmetic goes wrong
  • The same factors as the extent converter, so the two can never disagree
  • Traditional units included: kuli, maa, kaani, veli, cawnie

How this works

What it reads, what it needs, and how to read the answer.

What it does

Quotes arrive per square foot, per cent and per ground in the same conversation. This puts them in one unit so they can be compared.

What you give it

The rate you have and the unit it is quoted in.

What it adds beyond the portal
  • A rate converts the opposite way to an extent, which is where hand arithmetic goes wrong
  • The same factors as the extent converter, so the two can never disagree
  • Traditional units included: kuli, maa, kaani, veli, cawnie
What it costs
Free every run

Run it as often as you need. Nothing is deducted.

How to read the result

The same money expressed per other unit. Nothing is rounded to a pretty number.

Where the data comes from

The same conversion factors as the extent converter on this site.

Questions people ask

Short answers, no jargon.

Why is a rate not converted like an area?

Because it moves the other way. One cent is 435.6 square feet, so a rate per cent becomes a SMALLER number per square foot, while an extent in cents becomes a bigger number in square feet.

What currency is it in?

Whatever you typed. The conversion is between units, not currencies.

Is this free?

Yes.
