Acquisition of Lands and Errata to Highways Acquisition Notice

What this Gazette does

Salem District land acquisition

Notification No. VI(1)/195(d-1)/2025 states that the Governor of Tamil Nadu acquires lands in Pottipuram Village, Kadayampatty Taluk, Salem District, under the Tamil Nadu Acquisition of Land for Industrial Purposes Act, 1997.

The stated purpose is:

• Expansion of Salem Airport
• Formation of Maintenance and Training Centre

Notification No. VI(1)/195(d-2)/2025 states that the Governor of Tamil Nadu acquires lands in Siruvathur and Semmedu Villages, Panruti Taluk, Cuddalore District, under the Tamil Nadu Highways Act, 2001.

The stated purpose is:

• Construction of High Level Bridge and Approach Road at K.m.3/2 of the road branching from K.m.29/8 of Cuddalore, Chithoor Road to Meliruppu Road across Kedilam River Connecting

• Total extent acquired is 2158 square metres.
• The lands are R.Dry lands.
• The schedules identify old and new survey numbers, extent to be acquired, crops or trees, and land owners or interested persons.
• The plan can be inspected at the office of the Special District Revenue Officer (L.A), Highways, Villuppuram, and the office of the Special Tahsildar (L.A), State Highways (Unit-3), Collector Office, Cuddalore District, during office hours.

Errata for Chennai acquisition

Notification No. VI(1)/195(d-3)/2025 is an errata to notification No. VI(1)/776(a-1)/2024, published in Tamil Nadu Government Gazette Extraordinary No. 373, Part VI, Section 1, dated 20.11.2024.

It corrects entries relating to acquisition for:

• Construction of Vehicular Underpass at the Junction of Mount Medavakkam Road and Southern Sector of Inner Ring Road near Madipakkam
• Adambakkam Village, Alandur Taluk, Chennai

The corrections change some survey numbers and structure descriptions, including replacing "Vacant Land" with built structures in certain entries, and changing one survey number from 18/3 part to 18/2 part.
