Planning changes in Coimbatore

The Director of Town and Country Planning issued Notification No. VI(1)/350/2023 for a draft variation to the approved Singanallur Detailed Development Plan No. 51 in the Coimbatore Local Planning Area. The underlying proceeding is Roc. No. 4077/2023/TCP-3, dated 12 April 2022.

Key points include:

• Land in Survey Field Nos. 79 and 158 in Puliakulam Village, measuring 9.42 acres, is proposed to change from agricultural use to educational use.
• The land is identified as an educational public purpose site to be developed by the owner.
• Entries relating to Survey Field Nos. 79 and 158 are to be removed and revised in the plan schedules.
• Affected or interested persons may submit objections or suggestions to the Member Secretary, Coimbatore Local Planning Authority, within sixty days from publication.
• The variation and plan may be inspected free of cost during office hours at the Coimbatore Local Planning Authority office.

The Gazette also contains a variation to the approved Coimbatore Master Plan. The reproduced conditions refer to handing over a road to the local body and compliance with the Tamil Nadu Combined Development and Building Rules, 2019.

Industrial cooperative societies

Industrial cooperative authorities ordered the immediate winding up of four societies and appointed official liquidators:

• Thanjavur Leather and Auto Liners' Industrial Co-operative Society Limited, IND No. 577, under Notification No. VI(1)/352/2023.
• Sivagangai District Minority Auto Driver Industrial Co-operative Society Limited, IND 1/SVG/2007, under Notification No. VI(1)/353/2023.
• Central Chennai Technocrats Labour Contract Industrial Co-operative Society Limited, IND No. 16/MDS, under Notification No. VI(1)/354/2023.

Bhoodan land notices

District authorities published Bhoodan notifications affecting land records in several villages:

• Notification No. VI(1)/355/2023 publishes a declaration by Sundaresan, son of Parameshwaran, concerning donated land in Kuniyamuthur Village, Coimbatore Taluk. Objections may be filed within two months from publication.
• Notification No. VI(1)/356/2023 publishes Bhoodan land in Survey No. 523 at Pudhuppalayam Village, Avinashi Taluk, Tiruppur District.
• Notification No. VI(1)/357/2023 publishes Bhoodan land in Survey No. 758 at Mathappur Village, Palladam Taluk, Tiruppur District, together with donor and grantee details.
