G.O. (D) No. 95, Acquisition of Lands, Errata to Notification, 2016

What the document does

The Highways and Minor Ports Department issued G.O. (D) No. 95, dated 5 May 2016, as an errata to G.O. (D) No. 176, Highways and Minor Ports (HQ2) Department, dated 18 December 2014. It also corrects Notification No. II(2)/HWMP/22/2015, which was published on pages 31 to 33 of Part II, Section 2 of Tamil Nadu Government Gazette No. 2, dated 14 January 2015.

The errata does not set out a new acquisition or replace the earlier notification. It changes one entry in the schedule to the earlier government order and notification.

The correction

G.O. (D) No. 95 makes the following specific change:

• The change applies to Serial No. 24 in the schedule.
• The relevant land entry is Survey No. 24/4.
• Under the heading covering details of trees, wells and structures, the expression "Well" must be added.

The corrected schedule therefore records a well as part of the property details for Survey No. 24/4. The source text does not provide the village, district, extent of land, owner names or other acquisition particulars.

Who may be affected

G.O. (D) No. 95 is relevant to owners, buyers, occupiers and professionals dealing with the land identified as Survey No. 24/4 in the earlier acquisition schedule. It may also matter when checking the physical features recorded for that survey entry, because the original published schedule did not include the well that the errata now adds.

The errata is limited to the identified schedule entry. It does not state that any other survey number, structure, tree or well entry has been changed.

Notification No. II(2)/HWMP/354/2016 records the errata in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette dated 8 June 2016. The notification was signed by the Additional Chief Secretary to Government.
