The Highways and Minor Ports Department issued G.O. Ms. No. 109 dated 25 June 2012 for widening and improving Puthur Road and improving the Kosasthalayar Bridge.

• The project covers the improvement and widening of two lanes to four lanes at Km 0/0 to 21/0 on SH-51.
• The Government of Tamil Nadu acquires 5,650 square metres of wet land in Vadamadurai B-Ernangkuppam Village, Uthukottai Taluk, Thiruvallur District.
• The schedule lists original and subdivided survey numbers, stated owners, boundaries and the area acquired from each parcel.
• Compensation is to be paid from funds controlled or managed by the Chief Engineer (Construction and Maintenance), Highways Department.
