What the gazette covers

Tamil Nadu Government Gazette No. 51, Part VI, Section 1, dated 27 December 2023, contains planning and judicial notifications issued by several public authorities. Property owners, buyers and developers should check whether land falls within the survey numbers identified in the planning variations.

Gobichettipalayam draft variation

The Director of Town and Country Planning, through proceedings Roc.No. 3806/2023/TCP-3 dated 27 November 2023, proposes a draft variation to Gobichettipalayam Detailed Development Plan No. 7.

• The proposal changes 403.84 square metres in S.F.Nos. 242 part and 245 part, also identified as Ward D, Block 20, T.S.No. 5/3, in Veerapandi Village, from agricultural use to commercial use.
• An affected or interested person may submit objections or suggestions within sixty days from publication in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette.
• Representations may be made personally or in writing to the Member Secretary, Erode Local Planning Authority.
• The variation and plan may be inspected free of cost during office hours at that authority's office.

Coimbatore land use changes

The Coimbatore Local Planning Authority published three variations to the approved Coimbatore Master Plan.

• Notification No. VI(1)/832/2023 implements the conversion ordered by the Housing and Urban Development Department in G.O. (2D) No. 196 dated 21 August 2023. S.F.No. 347/1B in Maileripalayam Village is placed in Industrial I25 land use, with the corresponding agricultural entry adjusted.
• Notification No. VI(1)/833/2023 implements G.O. (2D) No. 03 dated 6 January 2023. S.F.Nos. 354/1A1, 354/1B1 and 416/1 in Kondayampalayam Village are moved from agricultural use to residential use.
• Notification No. VI(1)/834/2023 implements G.O. (2D) No. 305 dated 14 December 2022, subject to a condition. S.F.No. 351/2A1B2 in Kondayampalayam Village is added to the residential use zone.

Madurai and Virudhunagar

Notification No. VI(1)/835/2023 implements Housing and Urban Development Department G.O. No. 320 dated 20 November 2023. It changes S.F.Nos. 163/2, 164/3, 164/4, 165/1, 165/3A, 165/3B, 166/1B and 166/2A1 in Kodikulam Bit 2 Village, Madurai East Taluk, from agricultural use to residential use.

Notification No. VI(1)/836/2023 records an agricultural to residential conversion for the Modified Consent Virudhunagar Master Plan, ordered in G.O. No. 217 dated 12 September 2023.

Judicial notifications

The High Court, Madras, states that the existing Arakkonam Judicial Magistrate Court will become Judicial Magistrate Court No. I when another court is constituted, while the proposed court will be Judicial Magistrate Court No. II. It also appoints Deputy Collector Thiru M. Satheesh Kumar as Special Judicial Magistrate in Kancheepuram District for 180 days of part time magisterial training from assumption of office.
