• lockets of Bhagavan Sri Ramakrishna and his disciples
• MP3s
• CDs
• DVDs

Commercial Taxes and Registration Department, G.O. Ms. No. 10, dated 6th February 2013

Commercial Taxes and Registration Department, G.O. Ms. No. 10, dated 6th February 2013 exempts tax payable by any dealer on sale of certain goods to Tvl. Ramakrishna Math, Nattarampalli, Vellore District, subject to conditions.

Goods covered are:

• drugs and medicines including disposable syringes, vaccines, dressings, medicated ointments produced under Drug Licence
• medical equipments, gadgets, accessories and spare parts
• stationery articles
• furniture and fittings such as chairs, tables, benches and almirahs made of wood, steel or plastic
• beds and bed materials made of cotton, foam, rubber or plastics

Key conditions are:

• the seller must furnish a declaration signed by the Math along with the monthly return to the assessing officer
• the goods must be used for running Tvl. Ramakrishna Math Rural Charitable Dispensary and Swami Sivananda Students Home, Nattarampalli, Vellore District
• the exemption is stated to have come into force on the 1st January 2012 and remain in force up to and inclusive of the 31st December 2016

Land acquisition notifications

Highways and Minor Ports Department, G.O. (D) No. 9, dated 24th January 2013

Highways and Minor Ports Department, G.O. (D) No. 9, dated 24th January 2013 acquires specified lands in Vadasery Village, Agasteeswaram Taluk, Kanyakumari District for construction of a Road Over Bridge in lieu of Level Crossing No. 32B.

Important points:

• total extent acquired is 1164.434 square metres
• the schedule lists survey numbers, extent required, patta numbers, owners or interested persons, and structures
• the plan is kept in the office of the District Revenue Officer, Kanyakumari District for inspection during office hours

Highways and Minor Ports Department, G.O. Ms. No. 15, dated 7th February 2013

Highways and Minor Ports Department, G.O. Ms. No. 15, dated 7th February 2013 acquires lands in No. 94, Tiruvur Village, Thiruvallur Taluk, Thiruvallur District for construction of a Road Over Bridge in lieu of existing Level Crossing No. 15 between Thirunindravur and Thiruvallur Railway Station.

Key points:

• total extent acquired is 00595 square metres of dry lands
• the schedule identifies the lands as belonging to Tamil Nadu Housing Board
• the plan is kept in the Sub Collector's Office, Tiruvallur and Taluk Office, Tiruvallur for inspection

No. 1, dated 30th January 2013 publishes an amendment to Notification No. II(2)/HWMP/116/2011, which had been published in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette dated 16th March 2011.
