What the notifications do

The Government of Tamil Nadu, Housing and Urban Development Department, has extended the period available for publishing five draft Land Pooling Area Development Schemes. Each extension is for a further six months from 2nd January 2026.

The notifications extend only the publication period. They do not contain the draft schemes, individual survey numbers, ownership details or the proposed treatment of particular properties.

Areas and orders covered

The five extensions apply as follows:

  • Kilmanambedu: G.O.Ms.No.208, dated 31st December 2025, covering 98.93 hectares (330.57 acres).

Legal basis

The Governor of Tamil Nadu granted each extension under the proviso to sub-section (1) of Section 39-I of the Tamil Nadu Town and Country Planning Act, 1971 (Tamil Nadu Act 35 of 1972).

The notifications concern the timing for publication of draft schemes. They do not reproduce the contents of any scheme or state what development, land pooling or property arrangements may eventually be proposed.

Who should pay attention

Owners, buyers and property professionals dealing with land in Kilmanambedu, Vellavedu, Narasingapuram, Udayavarkoil or Thirumazhisai should note that the draft publication process has been given additional time. The Gazette text alone does not establish whether a particular property falls within one of the identified areas because it provides no survey number or boundary schedule.

A person checking a specific property will therefore need the relevant draft scheme or supporting area records once available. These notifications do not state any fee, rate, compensation term or change of land use.
