Nizam Salabath Jung, brother of Nasir Jung, was installed as the Nizam in 1751 by the French commander Bussy. The English later replaced Salabath Jung with his brother Nizam Ali Khan in 1762. Salabath Jung was one of the four sons of Nizam-ul-Mulk Asaf Jah I, the first Nizam of Hyderabad. It is also noted that a peace treaty was signed between Salabath Jung and the French military officer Bussy in September 1756. This entry highlights the complex political landscape and power struggles in 18th-century Deccan India, particularly involving the Nizam of Hyderabad and the influence of European powers like the French and the British. Salabath Jung's ascension to power with French support and his subsequent removal by the British demonstrate the strategic maneuvering and shifting alliances during this period. The peace treaty between Salabath Jung and Bussy further underscores the French involvement in the region's politics. While not directly related to Tamil Nadu real estate, these historical events could have indirectly impacted land ownership and governance in the region due to the Nizam's control over parts of South India.
