Vastu Check API for plots and homes
Yes. The LandLens Vastu check API scores a plot or a home on Vastu Shastra. For a plot it reads up to ten questions (facing, the roads around it, slope, the raised side, shape, soil, extensions, tilt, surroundings and distance from the main road); for a home, ten rooms and features by direction (main entrance, kitchen, bedrooms, guest and drawing rooms, water source, toilets, garage and house direction). Answer any of them and you get the points for each, the ideal answer, and the total and percentage over the questions answered. It costs nothing.

What it returns
One row per question answered. found is false (status not_found) when an answer or a question key is not one the table knows; error lists the valid wording.
| Field | What it holds |
|---|---|
subject | plot or home, as sent. |
score, max_score, percentage | The points earned, the points possible over the questions answered, and the percentage. |
answered | How many questions were scored. |
rows[].question | The question in words (Plot facing, Kitchen, Master bedroom ...). |
rows[].answer, points, max | The answer as matched, its points, and the most that question can score. |
rows[].ideal, is_ideal | The best scoring answer for that question, and whether yours is it. |
basis | Which checker scored it, and that this is customary guidance. |

I am looking at an east facing rectangular plot that slopes towards the north-east, about 30 metres from the main road. How does it score on Vastu?
Your AI maps what you said onto the plot questions and scores them. It is free.
Responses
Every answer has the same envelope. What status can say for this call:
| status | What it means |
|---|---|
ok | The answers were scored. score and percentage are over the questions answered. |
not_found | An answer or a question key did not match the table; error lists the valid keys or options. Send the exact wording and call again. |
invalid_args | HTTP 422: subject or answers is missing. |
free_limit_reached | The account has used its free calls for the hour or the day. retry_after says how many seconds to wait; paid calls keep working. |
Where the data comes from
The question and points tables of our public Plot Vastu and Home Vastu checkers. The API scores exactly as those pages do.
Ten plot questions and ten home questions, each with eight fixed answers (five for distance from the main road).
A fixed scoring table. It changes only when the public checkers change, and both move together.
Each answer is matched to the exact option wording, ignoring case, and scored from the table. Each question is out of 10, except a plot's surroundings, out of 20. The total is over the questions answered, so a partial set still scores.
Who uses it
Land and plot sellers
Show a plot's Vastu score on the listing from its facing, slope and shape, with what scores highest.
Builders and interior teams
Score a flat's layout by room direction before the buyer's family asks, and mark the rooms that score low.
Property apps and assistants
Answer "is this plot good as per Vastu" with a score and the reasons, not an opinion.
Limits and good practice
- Vastu Shastra is customary guidance, never a legal, structural or regulatory requirement. Present it that way.
- The percentage is over the questions answered. A plot scored on two questions is not comparable with one scored on all ten; read answered with the score.
- Answers must use the table's own wording (for example "South or Southeast" for the roads). The error lists the options.
- It scores what you tell it. It does not read a plot's facing or slope from the map.
Pricing
The Vastu check costs nothing. Free calls have their own allowance per hour and per day, counted across every key and connected app on the account, and it is larger once the account has bought credits. Credits come from the same LandLens wallet as the chat and the minis. How billing works.
Free calls have an hourly and daily allowance. For more than that, or a platform built on these registers, we set up limits and a plan to match.
Questions
Is there an API for a Vastu score?
Yes, this one. Send a plot's or a home's answers and get the points per question and a total, over HTTPS or MCP, at no charge.
Do I have to answer every question?
No. Answer the ones you know. The score is worked out over those, and answered says how many there were.
Which facing scores highest for a plot?
In this table an east facing plot scores 10 of 10 and a north-east facing plot 9. Each row returns ideal, the best answer for that question.
Can it check a flat as well as a plot?
Yes. subject home scores the main entrance, kitchen, bedrooms, living rooms, water source, toilets, garage and house direction.
